Survey Enumerator Consultancy At CUFA

Cufa Ltd is seeking a team of qualified and experienced survey to work on a remote telephone survey project in Myanmar. The project involves conducting a telephone survey with women and girls between the ages of 15 and 49 years, from across Myanmar. The project is a part-time and remote consultancy. Survey Enumerators will work from home or from Cufa’s office in Yangon, for approximately 90 days between September 2021 and March 2022.

Cufa Limited is an international development NGO with experience implementing qualitative data collection and telephone survey projects in Myanmar, Cambodia and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific.

The project is funded by a multilateral funding agency. No work or contact with the Myanmar government will be involved. The identities of project staff will be kept anonymous, and shared only within Cufa and with the multilateral funding partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone surveys with respondents from across Myanmar.
  • Perform the telephone survey in a manner that is sensitive to the ongoing political and socioeconomic disruptions in Myanmar, and their effects on women and girls.
  • Undertake training with Cufa’s Team Leader in Computer Assisted Telephone Survey (CATI) practices.
  • Contribute to translation of survey questionnaire forms from Burmese to regional dialects.
  • Participate in data entry and creation of a database of respondent data.
  • Contribute to Monitoring and Evaluation of telephone surveys.

Selection Criteria

  • At least 3 years of experience conducting surveys via telephone or face-to-face.
  • Ability to be flexible, to work remotely and individually, and also to work in a team under supervision from Cufa’s Team Leader.
  • Fluency in Burmese and regional dialects; competency with English will be considered an asset.
  • Availability for intermittent telephone surveys work between September 2021 and March 2022.
