The Case Worker is a member of the Save the Children’s (SC) IDPs and Refugee Crisis Response team in South Sudan. Under the supervision of the Child Protection Officer, the Caseworker will be responsible for the implementation of the Case Management and FTR activities, Coordinating with relevant stakeholders involved in Protection and will ensure that Child Protection concerns are responded to in a manner consistent with Save the Children’s programming principles and approaches, draw on relevant best practices and lessons learned, enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Higher education level on social sciences or relevant experience in social work, community development and working with children in Child Protection programme.
- 2 -years sectoral experience
- Experience working and communicating with Children
- Written/spoken English
- Excellent technical understanding of child protection and community based approached
- Computer knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to prioritize tasks
- Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Able to operate in extremely harsh living and working environment
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Location: South Sudan, Kapoeta and Bor Field Office
