Job Title: Film and Video Editor
Department: Media and Communication
Report to: Executive Director
Job Purpose
To manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final film or video product.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, transfer, and export uncut footage to create a finished, cohesive final project
- Select and combine footage to produce a film in line with the storyboard, goal, and vision of the film
- Adjust and correct film’s colors to improve the final product’s quality
- Select, apply, and edit music, sound effect, subtitles, and graphics to support the final product’s goal
- Rearrange scenes and ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Continuously explore and implement new technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
- Follow the institution’s media and communication policies and guidelines
- Respect and apply all the PSEA principles, and show high commitment to report any SEA action

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
1. Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field
- 2 years’ experience in art and/or design fields
- Programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut
- Advanced level in English, and Arabic
2. Desirable:
- Master’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field
- 4 years’ experience in art and/or design fields
- Programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Lightworks, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, Cinema 4D, DaVinci Resolve
- Advanced level in English, and Arabic, and good level in Turkish
