About the role
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Crown Agents have outsourced the provision of IT Infrastructure and IT Support Services to CDW. The ITS team continue to support CA applications, including the integration and user reporting requirements. The SQL and Report developer role will develop, design and support serval IT developments across a wide portfolio of business applications to provide report services and system integration across CA systems. Including API and XML integration and report development using Power Bi dashboards and SQL reporting and where required support and configure of CA applications like CRM Dynamics.
Main Responsibilities:
Build and support system integration and reporting needs
Programmer
- Develop programmes related to the integration of IT systems both on on-premises and in the cloud
- Understand integration languages and techniques including API and XML
- Build and maintain integration process using ION and develop SQL stored procedures and views
- Familiar with Microsoft environments using C# and .net
- Provide support to the design of IT services
- Understanding of web, mobile app and portal development techniques
- Understand the web security best practice
Report Writer
- Develop business reporting services for both CA internal and external clients
- Develop reports and dashboard using appropriate reporting tools eg SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power Bi
- Assist into the design of reports and liaise with the business to provide the best performance.
Application Configuration
- Provide users support on CA applications eg CRM Dynamics
- Make application configuration changes where required or liaise with the application support 3rd parties
- Manage application support issues and changes request by CA users
CDW Relationship management
- Liaison with CDW on database base related issues
- Be the smart customer to CDW in managing SQL and database estate
User Communications
- Manage User Communications on all IT Service communications requirements, such as planned maintenance or service issues
General
- Be aware of and adhere to company quality standards and procedures in accordance with Crown Agent’s commitment to working to the highest quality standards and striving for continual improvement
Safeguarding
- Be aware of and compliant with all the standards following Safeguarding procedures and policies. Promote Crown Agents’ speak up culture in order to protect the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults

About you
Qualification
Graduate in IT or equivalent experience
Experience
Typically, 2 years’ experience in IT Services provision in a corporate setting including the following:
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- SQL development eg creating stored produce and views
- SQL Database
- Interfacing API, XML
- Development language eg C#, .net
Experience is the following would be preferable:
- CRM dynamic
- Power Bi
However, training will be provided as required
