Job Title: Operation & Finance Volunteer

Position Summary
The Volunteer is responsible for supporting the financial operations of War Child-Holland Jordan office according to War Child and donor policies and procedures. The Volunteer is also responsible for supporting accurate grants documentation and financial records keeping.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Assist the finance department of day to day accounting operations;
- Receive invoices, receipts and financial reports from suppliers, and partners and ensure their coherence, conformity and adherence to the required specifications and/or signed agreements,
- Assist in maintaining the accounting books (for operational advances, salaries or advances to suppliers, receivables and payables, and ensure that the advances are paid back within the given timeframes with validation and justification;
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all accounting documents;
- Support the process of following up with the partners and sub-partners to ensure applying the stated in contracts signed with War Child.
- Review the partners’ recordkeeping and ensure that all expenses claimed to the project are accurately documented according to the financial policies of War Child and the donor;
- Performing other duties as required by the direct supervisor
HR & Operations
- Support the basic HR systems including payroll, staff files, leave days, timesheets, new staff induction and staff exit or clearance process.
- Assist on tracking the contracts and maintain the filling system electronically and physically.
- Prepare the POs, SOs, PRs as needed.
- Support the logistics in the procurement process such as but not limited to prepare the bid analysis.
Essential Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounting, finance and sub-grant management with international organizations;
- Knowledge of major donors’ regulations, systems and procedures is a plus;
- Knowledge of financial systems software, computer skills in Excel, Word, etc.;
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required; and
