HRIS Release Management Officer (for Philippine Nationals only) International Committee of the Red Cross

PURPOSE

The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Unit is responsible for providing, managing and efficiently maintaining the ICRC’s human resources software, enabling all staff to carry out HR activities and processes. The HRIS Unit brings human resources and information technology together.

The HRIS Release Management Officer (Automation Officer) is the person in-charge of the HRIS non-regression testing (NRT) process for different HR applications, working closely with application managers and support teams. In parallel, this position is also responsible for software testing automation design, planning, scripting and execution for a variety of key applications in HRIS.

Main Responsibilities:

A) NON-REGRESSION TESTING PROCESS

• In-charge of the NRT cycle for HRspace and works on implementation of the NRT process for other HR applications managed by HRIS

• Coordinate with Head of Applications and Head of Operations on the overall timeline of SAP NRT release dates and testing

• Coordinate with Application Managers, L2 Officers and external providers on release notes, impact analysis

• Coordinate with BPS Officers on NRT test timelines, issues and results

• Create, update, and maintain documentation related to NRT process (process kit and workflows, inventory list of procedures for NRT, test results and bugs etc).

B) AUTOMATION OF HR APPLICATION TESTING

• Responsible for the implementation of the HRspace testing automation for different modules

• Work closely with HRIS support teams in executing automated test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, troubleshooting and coordinating bug fixes

• Communicate with Head of Operations, and Head of Application for the automation feasibility of procedures in other HR applications

• Coordinate with HRIS Quality Manager on NRT dashboard

C) PROCESS DOCUMENTATION & MAINTENANCE

• Submit HRIS internal documentation updates as necessary linked to the Quality Assurance plan

• Create new documentation once a standard process has been defined by and coordinated with respective Application Manager, module leaders, and Business Process Owners

• Communicate changes in documentation to the rest of the HRIS teams

D) DATA QUALITY & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

• Initiate ideas for better data handling and quality in the unit, using automation

• Suggest process improvements within Functional Support or all HRIS levels

• Participate on discussions related to process clarification and process link to other HR Shared Services teams

E) PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

• Support data alignment activities and tasks for the HRIS project deployment

• Update tracking logs and coordinate status of project activities to Team Lead

• Undertake any other tasks as agreed with the HRIS Project team

F) BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP

• Foster professional relationship with HR services providers and ICRC employees

• Create channel of communication and discussion to customers in using different HR applications/systems

• Maintain close coordination with HRIS members for effective and efficient working environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or HR

• Strong 3 – 5 years experience preferably in HRIS or ICT

• Proven experience of test automation using Selenium WebDriver with C# or Java and MS SQL

• Experience on process mapping and documentation

• Experience using or supporting HCM systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday is essential

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience in using similar tools to prepare user friendly training materials and presentations

• Fluency in English and an asset if working knowledge of French
