KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation (KNCV) is currently recruiting for the position of Clinical Officer for the IMPAACT4C19 project focusing on enhancing accelerated access to diagnostics, care and treatment innovation for COVID-19 that will be implemented in up to five countries, including the Philippines. The purpose of the position is to provide clinical support and advice to the project in the Philippines. The Clinical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality technical leadership, oversight, and advice including technical assistance to support project implementation and interventions. The Clinical Officer reports to the Project Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality technical leadership, oversight, and advice on the clinical component of the project including technical assistance to support project implementation and interventions;
  • Provide Clinical Officer and offers technical guidance in COVID-19 case management for mild, moderate and severe cases;
  • Provides support to project staff at regional level in the design, evaluation and implementation of COVID-19 Clinical programs in line with the project implementation plan;
  • Provides technical advice to ensure that the project interventions are consistent with national COVID-19 case management, international standards and recommendations;
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with relevant government agencies;
  • Build capacity in COVID-19 case management at national and decentralized level including local partners;
  • Develops tools, SOPs and form for the design and implementation of project related case management interventions;
  • Support the development of well-informed advice and strategies on COVID-19 case management and support that are sensitive to the various needs of multiple stakeholders and partners in line with the project objective;
  • Ensures that project implementation adheres to the appropriate national and global case management strategies;
  • Work in close collaboration with COVID-19 national task force and technical team for case management;
  • Participates in national, subnational, or regional meetings with government and partners to discuss strengthening case management strategies;
  • Prepare activity reports;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
