Background
As part of the Creative Team within CRS’ marketing and communication department, this position turnscompelling and unique CRS stories into engaging video content. The subjects are both the lifesaving work CRS does overseas as well as our US audience, including advocacy, charitable giving and church-going Catholics. With video as an emphasis, we are always looking at ways to elevate our stories and get the focused attention of our audiences.
Job Summary
The Associate Multimedia Content Creator is a key role within the CRS Creative Team with a dotted line to our Charitable Giving department. This position is responsible for the production and post-production work necessary to create compelling videos for a variety of internal clients. While the role is centered around video editing skills, the Associate Multimedia Content Producer will also be asked to shoot video and some photos (both domestically and internationally), record sound, choose music and handle some internal production. Using these elements to weave together the stories of the people we serve and our programming, the Associate Multimedia Content Creator ensures that our videos are being created at the highest quality possible.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
Overall

  • Work with the Associate Creative Director for Video and Content and Video Lead to ensure the highest standards of video production.
  • Edit and/or direct video for a variety of in-house projects, specifically for Marcom and Charitable Giving.
  • Manage the intake of footage internal and external shoots.
  • Participate in the production process, from concept, critiques, revisions through final product delivery.
  • Maintain and manage the CRS video archive
  • Maintain CRS’s online video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
  • Develop Motion Graphics for videos
  • Collaborate with others in Creative and Marketing and Communications for the highest quality videos
  • Record audio for voice over and podcast recordings
  • Edit webinar and podcasts for a variety of Charitable Giving needs
  • Maintains equipment and resources

Project specific

  • Work closely with internal clients to bring their stories to life
  • Manage project timelines and deadlines
  • Work with the Lab teams to concept storylines and edit style

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of all aspects of video production
  • Experience in either Premiere Pro or Final Cut X
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of production equipment (cameras, audio, video recorders, lighting and microphones) for on location and studio production.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and people skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detailed-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with virtual reality

Travel – Approximately 5% of this position would involve either domestic or international travel.
