Silk Road (SRO) is a Non-political, Non-governmental, and non-profit organization established in Aleppo city in November 2015 then it was registered in Turkey – Gaziantep in 2016 .
Silk Road works to take action to find creative solutions to the persistent problems of conflict-affected people in Syria and Turkey and to support the actions of affected and marginalized people and communities to overcome poverty and suffering more effectively based on complementarity and respect for the contribution that each party brings and upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
Silk Road cares about supporting vulnerable people in need via focusing on three main sectors currently which are Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)and Food Security, Early recovery and Livelihood (FSL), in addition to the good experience we gained through the implementation of many projects in other sectors such as Education, Protection, Early recovery and Shelter and Non-food items.
All Silk Road’s activities are guided by the four humanitarian principles: Humanity, Neutrality, Impartiality and Independence, and these principles provide the foundations for humanitarian action and govern the conduct of all humanitarian workers at Silk Road.

General overview about this position:
The Partnership &Grants Manager will help weave collaborative relations that enable SRO to effectively fulfil its mission and specific objectives. He/she will identify and nurture such relations focusing primarily on funding, program development and communications. He/She will be responsible for searching for available grants and write proposals for funds that are typically provided for specified purposes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Managing and supporting the grants requirement and implementation for the organization.
  2. Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process.
  3. Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results.
  4. Research for effective and authentic funding opportunities.
  5. Oversee if the grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the organization.
  6. Supervise the fundraising team to ensure proper coordination of work.
  7. Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring a smooth completion of work responsibilities.
  8. Oversee if another grant staff (coordinators, writers and administrators) is complying with their job responsibilities.
  9. Oversee the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of grant process.
  10. Prepare financial or budget plans and allocations along with the planning and finance department in accordance with each requirement.
  11. Analyze the budget trends and make recommendations for cost control and reduction for various grants.
  12. Provide detailed reports to the funders and the board of directors with respect to the organization’s progress.
  13. Monitor paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs.
  14. Maintain records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant-related activities.
  15. Provide training to the new staff on grants management and reporting requirements.
  16. Maintain the day-to-day communication with the partners’ management team and stay in regular contact with partners’ field teams.
  17. Act as a focal point for partners’ questions and queries and facilitate the flow of information between partners and other members of the partner support team.
  18. Assist with partner capacity assessments and contribute to the drafting of the capacity building plan.
  19. Prepare project-specific reporting templates and tools for partners.**Qualifications and Skills Required:**
  20. University degree. Business Administration – Engineering – Economics or any related field
  21. Fluently in the English language.
  22. Excellent project management skills with experience in managing and supervising administrative projects.
  23. Possess excellent organizational skills.
  24. Strong command over written and verbal communication.
  25. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  26. Good understanding of the organization’s overall strategy and objectives.
  27. Possess good knowledge of planning and strategizing financial and budgeting issues.
  28. Ability to work within a team and provide support to the junior staff.
  29. Ability to perform in a cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities.
  30. Experience with basic financial management skills including developing and monitoring budgets and financial reporting.
  31. A multi-tasker with a strong ability to work under pressure.
  32. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  33. Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs and the Internet.
