Learning Platform Administrator – Can’t Wait to Learn At War Child Holland

Can’t Wait to Learn (CWTL) is a digital game-based learning program, designed with and for children. In Jordan, in collaboration with Ministry of Education and education actors, the development of CWTL continues to offer innovative solutions to bridge the gaps and facilitate an enabling learning environment for students, teachers and caregivers.

The Can’t Wait To Learn team is looking for a motivated and creative human recourse to support the development and implementation of a digital learning platform. The ideal candidate is able to create e-Learning modules, admin the learning management system, coordinate inputs and feedbacks, and has a can-do attitude. The selected candidate will report to CWTL project manager and work with team members of the Jordan office, Holland office, tech providers and Ministry of Education in Jordan.

The role will focus on four main components:**

  • Production of interactive lessons into e-learning modules using Evolve authoring tool in a Moodle learning system, partnering with subject matter experts to ensure quality content and learning activities.
  • Work with the Moodle Provider/host to ensure smooth configuration of learning system according to implementation plan that is user friendly for children, caregivers and Ministry of Education staff (in Arabic).
  • Managing the LMS as administrator (Moodle) and establish administrative processes, e.g. workflows, processes and responsibilities within the LMS, helpdesk
  • Production and conduction of capacity building plans and content.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The candidate would strive to:

· Ensure implementation of dynamic, interactive and user-friendly e-learning modules/lessons using Evolve, based on existing interactive lessons templates.

· Manage the LMS as administrator, including enrolments registration and user reporting.

· Activate user support mechanisms and platform helpdesk

· Document the processes, workflows and maintenance of the LMS.

· Provide inputs to ensure the learning materials and systems meet ‘e-learning’ quality standards

· Coordinate review/user testing to ensure e-learning materials meet the expectations of users (children, caregivers) and of subject matter experts including Ministry of Education in Jordan

· Work with subject matter experts on other teams to produce further design/ storyboarding, activities, content, scripts, assessments.

· Produce LMS and e-learning capacity building plan and content (e.g. videos/webinars and/or micro modules)

· Preform any other relevant tasks

Qualifications:

The e-Learning project support should have Arabic and English fluency with
a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience , preferably related to the use of technology in education, programming and/or instructional digital design. Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant working experience and is familiar with/experienced in the following skills/tools:

· Instructional Design: Instructional design and development of digital learning materials, especially for primary aged children including User Interface Design

· Project coordination

· Quality Analysis and User feedback gathering.

· E-learning Authoring tools (e.g. a preference for Evolve, Adapt or Gomo)

· Learning Management Systems, preferably Moodle.

· Multimedia and design tools. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

· Experience in the education sector working with refugees and vulnerable communities

· Experience as trainer.
