Overview of position
Our client is undertaking a project that aims to strengthen the resilience of both the supported health facilities, as well as the targeted communities, through providing sustainable access to healthcare services in targeted communities, as well as relevant training for their staffing.
Our client will be responsible for the design and rehabilitation works of the health facilities, ensuring highest standards in design and rehabilitation works, and respect of ‘state of the art’ requirements for safety, sustainability, security, and disability access. In addition, Our client will support targeted health facilities with provisions of medical equipment and supplies, as well as strengthening capacities through conducting training activities.
Role objectives
Purpose and Scope of Assignment
- Acquiring the hospital staff at the targeted Health Facility by the required skills in term of training modules
- Carry out the training in the selected health facilities and conduct site visits
- Coordinate with our client advisor to agree on the time-frame and methodology of
- field visit and training to targeted Health facilities .
- Provide the consultancy to the medical team to initiate main training modules protocols.
- Train the medical staff and non-medical staff.
Monitoring and Progress Controls
The retainer shall submit the following deliverables to the KFW PROJECT team at our client Sana’a Office.
- Conduct the training and submit the results to UNOPS team
- Supervise the capacity building training for the Health facilities .

Qualifications and Experience
Education
· Medical degree or other comparable health profession.
· University degree in relevant discipline in combination with 2 additional years of relevant work experience
Work Experience
· 4 years relevant experience working as a consultant or advisor in the fields of public health administration and quality management.
· Substantial experience from a leading local or global provider of quality management advisory or consulting services is desirable.
· Experience in management consulting and/or assessments in Yemen is essential.
· Proven experience in institutional strengthening and building the capacities of national, regional and local levels of public institutions.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are preferable.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
· Experience in the usage of computers and software packages (drawing software, structural software, office (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is required
