IT Project Manager – Remote At Creative Associates International

Position Summary:

The IT project manager is responsible for end-to-end management of IT projects. The incumbent will work collaboratively across departmental boundaries to deliver results on-time, within budget, and to the user’s satisfaction. The role will require balancing scope, time, and cost to deliver value to our customers, who are Creative users worldwide. Project subject matter spans the IT organization to include infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity and user support.

Reports to the Director, Global Information Technology

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Employ fit-for-purpose both agile and predictive values, principles, and practices to IT projects at Creative, with strong emphasis on agile.
  • Ensure schedule management for projects; in collaboration with the team, set task duration and LOE, and assign resources.
  • Calculate critical path for projects and help the team prioritize tasks according to critical path.
  • Manage project resource availability and allocation. Work collaboratively with IT leadership to allocate resources properly.
  • Document and communicate changes to project scope, time, or cost to all project stakeholders.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to communicate project success and roadblocks.
  • Create project scope documents including project charters, receive signoff from stakeholders.
  • Other project management duties as assigned.

Business Analysis

  • Anticipate, prioritize, and document business need as they pertain to processes and technology, and translate to technical solutions.
  • Employ a multimodal approach to identifying business need – interviews, group requirements gathering sessions, email, surveys, feedback sessions, etc.
  • Proactively identify pain points and faulty processes. When possible, use data to discover requirements and drive decisions.
  • Diagram data structures and classes according to business need and with feedback from technical teams.
  • Analyze and model multiple integrated business processes, identify process improvements, and advocate for change to stakeholders.
  • Disaggregate complex processes and information into reusable frameworks and models. Document findings in a digestible form for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Normalize disparate data and information, establish connections, patterns, and relationships, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing of implemented technology. Ensure solutions meet or exceed needs, implementation is technically sound, and technical teams correctly interpreted requirements.
  • Manage changes to requirements and maintain open lines of communication with the business during project implementation. Evaluate change impact on related processes and procedures.
  • Participate in internal business and strategic planning sessions.**Qualifications**

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, Project Manager or related role.
  • Technical background in IT required in Software Development, Infrastructure management, User Support, Cybersecurity, or other technical area.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, ScrumMaster, or other relevant IT-centric project management certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tool.
  • Previous experience with an international development implementor.
  • Pattern recognition – detect patterns in processes and data, collate and document patterns, and propose solutions to problems illuminated by patterns.
  • Critical thinking and ability to think “outside of the box”.
  • Terrific written and verbal communication and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and with clarity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
