Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical and humanitarian association founded in 1971 that provides assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflicts. They do so irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions. MSF is present in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Context UniField is an Information System (ERP) aiming to replace the existing field management tools with a new solution that will integrate finance and supply and be shared by all coordinations and projects. The MSF Operational Centre of Paris (OCP) started its deployment phase in 2018.
To reinforce the team, MSF-OCP is currently looking for a UniField Deputy Deployment Responsible (DDR)
The Deputy Deployment Responsible is responsible for assisting the Responsible of Deployment (RD) in his/her mission of defining Unifield’s deployment strategy, its management, and its implementation, with a specific focus on Supply.
Main responsibilities
Under the supervision of the RD, the deputy will be required to perform the following main activities:
- Contributes to the deployment’s strategy definition:
- Optimize the planning with the DD
- Anticipate team setup adjustments
- Search for continual deployment methods quality improvement
- Is the hierarchical manager of 4 Unifield Supply Mobile Implementers:
- Recruit, manage, support his team and their skill development
- Clarify orientations, objectives
- Evaluate the work done by his team to prepare and deploy Unifield. He is responsible of the quality deliverable on his perimeter
- Ensure his team contribution to transversal projects and workshops with Unifield team members or other departments
- Maintains the relationship with the members of the Project committee:
- Organize, lead, make the minutes of the project committee, comprising Departments’ deputy directors and Functional responsible
- Alert the Project committee members when necessary and facilitate decision-making and problem solving,
- Spread the information to Unifield Team
- Contributes to the project framing: good practices implementation and spreading within the team
- Carries background topics, in accordance with the DD: these topics can be any business related (supply, finance, IT, HR…)
- Contributes to the organization’s “”cultural” change
- Create and/or stimulate discussion platforms in OCP to foster infusion of Unifield use in the organization
- Questions existing ways of working in OCP to make sure they are adapted with an ERP-managed organization
7. Reports regularly to the Project Director on the progress of the topics for which he is responsible
Candidate profile :
· Master 2 or equivalent professional qualification in project management desired
· License or equivalent professional qualification in Supply Chain desired
· At least one project management experience completed mandatory
· Experience in multi-cultural team management desired
· Experience in procurement within an NGO required
· ERP implementation experience is a plus
· Experience with MSF is an advantage
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English (C1) and French (C1) mandatory
· Willing to travel to field projects (2 to 8 weeks missions)
· Excellent relation skills: capacity to dialogue and leadership
· Capacity to anticipate and find solution, and to step back
· Strong organization skills, capacity to prioritize and adaptation capacity
Conditions if contracted with MSF France:
· Status: 18-month fixed-term contract (CDD) based in Paris with frequent travel within Europe and abroad.
· Benefits: 49,5k€ annual gross over 13 months.
