Know our team
Nutrition Technical Assistance Mechanism (NTEAM) shares its expertise globally to support the scale-up of nutrition for the most vulnerable. The team provides timely and coordinated expert technical assistance (TA) to countries and agencies and encourages a broad use of knowledge by translating technical information and research into accessible education, guidance, tools, and resources; and convenes global experts to tackle key nutrition issues. NTEAM works with a wide range of stakeholders including national authorities, donors, and other development partners to articulate felt TA needs, as well as ensure delivery of context-specific, gender-sensitive and high-impact technical assistance. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Deputy Director, Technical Assistance Management and Delivery to be based in Ottawa, Canada.
About you
You are a dynamic and collaborative professional keen to ensure the successful strategic development and evolution of all aspects of the NTEAM unit. You have a post graduate degree in a health-related discipline and ten years of management experience with development organizations or consulting firms engaged in development work. You must have successfully completed substantive work in public health or nutrition in developing countries.
Fluency in English is required. French or other language considered an asset.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for strategic development and operationalization of the NTEAM business model.
- Building upon the existing system, lead the development and/or refinement of the processes, tools and systems required for the “Setup and Prepare” and the “Deliver and Manage” stages of the NTEAM business model.
- Perform technical analysis of TA opportunities and support Practice Area leads on finalizing project methodology, approach and results framework and determining expertise required to deliver TA.
- Oversee the management of all NTEAM grants and the relationship with donors.
- Represent NTEAM in relevant national and international fora and events as needed.
