Chemonics seeks a programme coordinator to join the team implementing the Mobilising Institutional Capital Through Listed Product Structures’ (MOBILIST) programme, an FCDO-funded programme to mobilise large scale investment flows to emerging markets and developing countries [EMDCs] to achieve the SDGs. The MOBILIST programme will run from June 2021 to March 2026 and is based upon an overarching strategic objective to address the SDG finance gap by targeting institutional capital and listed markets. Duration of assignment: Nov 2021 – March 2022, up to 78 days of LOE
The programme coordinator will support the MOBILIST Policy Platform Team Lead in strategy and delivery, to build the ecosystem for sustainable finance products that scale their impact across emerging and frontier markets.

Responsibilities include:
- Support the Team Lead in collection of market feedback and development/evolution of Programme strategies to build the ecosystem for emerging market/developing economy sustainable finance at scale
- Support the Team Lead in execution of Programme strategies across Research, Communications and Monitoring & Evaluations
- Coordinate Programme activities at the project level
- Coordinate events with fund managers, government, private sector development agencies and impact investment ecosystem participants, with a focus on ensuring interest and uptake of emerging/frontier market sustainable finance products
- Coordinate with the communications lead to develop aligned communications content, including ensuring that messaging within communications channels adequately reflects the nuances of development finance and private sector development
- Co-design and contribute to development of the Learning Hub by extracting data and information from the MOBILIST platforms, fund managers and the broader ecosystem to ensure relevance of products, and alignment of messaging
- Contribute to development of learning activities, especially by providing input to ensure alignment with financial sector messaging and imperatives
- Coordinate with the Project Management Unit to ensure project activities are on time and on budget
- Support the tender process for commissioned research and monitoring evaluations and learning
- Prepare for and support coordination for Steering Committee meetings by managing preparation of relevant documents and follow-up regarding commitments and activities
- Support the PMU with technical information on programme delivery to ensure compliance, budget alignment and value for money
- Support the Team Leader and technical team in the drafting and development of project reports and deliverables including but not limited to quarterly reports, annual reports, milestone reports and work plans
- Work with the Team Leader to keep the PMU up to date on the financial status of the project and the execution of the budget, providing accurate forecasting of project expenses
- In the absence of the project Team Leader serve as the project team’s point of contact with FCDO, sub-contractors, stakeholders and the Chemonics PMU
- Perform additional tasks as required by the supervisor and/or the Home Office Project Management Unit
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five to ten of relevant experience in private sector development and management of international development programmes
- Experience in finance, development finance or impact investment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Understanding of impact measurement in the development finance context useful
- Communications and event coordination experience desired
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in managing teams; Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining contacts with governmental counterparts, and private sector partners
- Experience relevant to accomplishment of cross-cutting objectives in programme delivery, including gender and social inclusion
- Demonstrated leadership skills, versatility, and integrity
