PROGRAM OFFICER

Level: D1

Duration: Fixed term until December 2022 with possibility of extension

Location: The location is flexible within any Asian country where Oxfam has presence and can establish employment contract, preferably Bangkok, Thailand

The Role

Program Officer supports Oxfam Asia Regional platform’s influencing and private sector strategic engagement, on key food value chains including seafood processors and traders headquartered and operational in Asia to address inequality, reduce poverty, empower women and increase the resilience of fisherfolk, workers and aquaculture farmers.

What we are looking for

The Program Officer will be an experienced, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam’s values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience working in development, economic justice, inequalities, gender justice, food supply chains and civic movements.
  • Experience in programme/project management.
  • Good organizing and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Working effectively with others, thinking, and understanding and achieving results.
  • Strong skills to coordinate with multiple project stakeholders including partners and different Oxfam entities
  • Strong knowledge of M&E approach and design of data collection tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
