Overview of position
Under the direct supervision of the CS Project Manager, the Capacity Building and Training Consultant will be responsible to provide assistance for the development and the implementation of training activities related to IOM Libya’s social cohesion and livelihoods programming.
Role objectives
Scope of the Services
- Develop and maintain training manuals for capacity building activities of IOM Libya’s Community Stabilization Programme. This includes but is not limited to topics related to livelihoods training courses, conflict sensitivity, local governance and social cohesion.
- Develop and implement training programs in crosscutting thematic issue such as: gender equality, do not harm and protection principles, youth and women inclusion.
- Deliver training sessions in Arabic for implementing partners and local stakeholders in project locations. This may require travel to different locations in Libya.
- Identify and train group of subject matter experts and staff to support training activities, including required soft skills and adult learning competencies.
- Ensure capacity building of IOM Libya’s Community Stabilization field staff on relevant topics.
- Ensure consistent visibility of IOM Libya’s activities, and donor visibility in line with donor requirements.
Project reporting
Projecting reporting to Programme Manager (Community Stabilization).
