The Opportunity

The Finance Officer is a member of the Venezuela Response Finance team and is responsible for a range of functions including supplier payments and documentation, payroll processing and bank management. The Finance Officer is expected to be an integral part of ensuring a strong control environment for the SCI Venezuela program and for ensuring rigorous and thorough systems and processes that minimise the risk of errors, donor disallowances and fraud. The position would be based in Anzoategui.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience of working with NGOs
  • Good sense of responsibility, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizing & communications skills
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
