Who is Project Armonia?

We are a grassroots organisation acting in solidarity with people on the move to promote equal access to nutrition and education.

For the past two years, we have operated a free-restaurant that served over 1000 healthy and nutritious meals per day to people on the move on the hotspot island of Samos. We have worked with a diverse team of 29 different nationalities.

Now, we have a new exciting challenge ahead! We are currently setting up a new project in the city of Athens.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a creative yet analytical individual to join our team, who understands the techniques of online communications, networking and fundraising.

Job description:

  • Online networking and creating new partnerships to spread the word about our work
  • Writing and distributing our monthly newsletter
  • Managing website maintenance & updates (WordPress, Elementor)
  • Serve as a point of contact for media and public questions
  • Support with drafting donor and annual progress reports
  • Support with grant-writing and donor relation building
  • Coordinating content development and graphics for communication purposes
  • Coordinating fundraising campaigns and materials and ensuring their timely delivery
  • Revising and putting in place social media strategies
  • Implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications campaigns and strategies

Essential Requirements

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Three years of professional experience working in a communications/media/fundraising role
  • Demonstrable experience of writing effective, thoughtful, high-quality content
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail

Other requirements

  • Ability to work well, both independently and within a team
  • Able to act on own initiative and take responsible decisions
  • Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional and personal development
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities

Desired skills & experience

  • Fluency in German
  • Experience in working in non-profit/ non-governmental sector
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the political context in which we operate
  • Ability to create visually compelling content
