Muzun Foundation for Humanitarian & Development (MHD) is a civil society and Non-for -profit organization registered in Turkey, Gaziantep since 2015. The NGO was founded by professional humanitarian workers engaged in the Syria response. We come from the communities affected by the conflict. We have set up this organization in order to support fellow Syrians with relief and non-relief assistance to maintain their under-pressured resilience and help them cope with the challenging conflict environment. In our work we focus on the most vulnerable including persons with special needs, children and women. As a grassroots organization, our work is community-led and therefore owned and sustainable
Duties and responsibilities:
The Finance officer will perform the following duties:
- Preparing monthly financial reports for the organization and projects
- Ensure the application of the financial procedures
- Banks reconciliation
- Treasury & cash management
- Following up the projects fund requests
- Following up projects budgets and coordinate with the projects accountants
- Following up donors payments.
- Follow-up work with the legal Accountant and Government Affairs
- Contribute to a positive working environment
- Daily accounting and entries
Qualification:
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or institute degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience in finance or accounting for 2-3 Years .
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Excel.
- Experience in using accounting software (Preferably: Quickbooks).
- Good computer & communicating skills (search engines, emails etc.).
- Experience in working with NGO’s (humanitarian field) .
- Good communication skills.
- Good level of English language skills.
Personality:
- A strong believer in human rights and values of freedom and justice.
- Proactive with good communication skills.
- Ability to work within team and under pressure.
- Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Adherence to MHD Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles
