Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading and empowering all aspects of the PCC service to the Global Support Centre (GSC) and Country Office teams. Ensuring outstanding customer focus by delivering value-add, best in class PCC support to all WfWI Country Offices with particular focus on Country Programme Offices.
The PC&C Manager will;
- Work with the Global Director, People Capability & Culture and Country Directors to build and implement international frameworks that will develop a culture and practice of strong leadership, empowerment, diversity, inclusion and resilience.
- Provide expert input to Country offices as well as the Global PCC teams in terms of international employment legislation, policies and practices.
- Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of employee development activity.
- Provide input, recommendations, guidance and support to Country offices in resolving complex and high-risk safeguarding issues and cases.
- Provide input on the PCC implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans, acting as an advisory member of each Country’s management team.
- Work with Global PC&C Director, Country Directors and PCC Leads to contribute to the design and implementation of the People Strategy and Plan ensuring consistency with local employment legislation.
- Support and develop Line Managers and Country PCC Leads in driving a performance culture through coaching, facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings
- Support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs
- Deliver on business-critical PCC related projects
- Ensure alignment of PCC related programs by partnering with WfWI peers and colleagues in all locations
- Demonstrate and promote WfWI values and behaviours
- Promote wellbeing initiatives and excellence in environments of trust, respect and authenticity
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources or other relevant field
- 7-9 years’ experience managing people functions in a globally dispersed organization.
- Demonstrated competence in leading compensation and benefits, performance management and employee relations
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant laws governing PCC in WfWI’s operating contexts
- Experience and fluency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- HR certification
- Ability to travel as required
Our preference is to locate Global staff in the countries and regions where we already have programs and presence: Afghanistan, DRC, Iraq, Nigeria, South Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, UK, Germany.
