Project title: Lot 2: ‘Knowledge Hub for expertise on Health, Social Protection and Socio-Economic inequalities’
Brief description of the project: The Hub will provide expertise and knowledge to EC HQ services and EU Delegations worldwide in the areas of addressing health, socio-economic inequalities and social protection. It will support sector-specific policy formulation in these areas, including covering Social Protection across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus (SPaN) and contributing to EC participation in international initiatives.
Commencement date of the project: December 2022
Period of implementation: 48 months
Duration of the assignment: full-time 220 days/year
Requirements
Qualifications and skills
Mandatory:
- Master’s degree in public health, social protection or equivalent. In its absence, the master’s degree can be replaced by 5 years of professional experience in one or more of these fields, in addition to the minimum general professional experience;
- Proficiency in English, including writing official documents (at least level C1).
Asset:
- Undergraduate studies or equivalent in communication;
- Good command of spoken and written French (at least level B2).
General professional experience
Mandatory
- At least 5 years of professional experience, covering health care and/or social protection, including the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects in the areas of public health and social protection.
Specific professional experience
Mandatory:
- At least 3 years of experience with the latest developments in the field of public health and/or social protection, including national policies and latest international developments, demonstrated by relevant missions, assignments and/or publications in the development cooperation context.
Asset:
- Professional experience in knowledge management;
- Professional experience in preparing health and social protection communication and visibility material.
