The Opportunity

The Project Manager is accountable for the planning, design and operational delivery of Indonesia projects that are aligned to The Foundation’s strategic framework.

The Project Manager will own the outcomes of:

  • Support the Country Manager in the development, planning, coordination, and implementation of the Indonesia projects in line with strategic objectives and internal systems that include accountability and evidence-based outcomes.
  • Ensure high performance of project implementation and reporting quality that meet requirements of donors and FHF.
  • Support the Country Manager in developing new projects for the Indonesia Program ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and local need.
  • Undertake advocacy and build relationships with stakeholders including government officials, health professional associations, and other NGOs that lead to outcomes that contribute to the ending of avoidable blindness in the local context.
  • Manage partner relationships within the agreed governance frameworks of FHF, Australia and Indonesia.
  • Collaborate across the Indonesia team to develop and maintain strong relationships internally and with all Partners.
  • Build capability within the team to drive a culture of engagement and collaboration with the Foundation.
  • Actively engage in initiatives of FHF and learning groups.
  • Other tasks as requested by your manager.

About You! To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who brings the following skills and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ strong experience in program management in Public Health or Health-related within the international development sector.
  • Demonstrated effective supervisory experience guiding project staff to achieve program outcomes
  • Experience in advocacy resulting in system strengthening outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Health, Social sciences, International /Community Development)

Something extra to get our attention!

  • Experience in improving Eye Health sector and/or delivery sustainable models of Health Care within Indonesia Government Health System would be an advantage.
  • Experience in Health System Strengthening would be an advantage.
