The Movement

Movement On The Ground is a Dutch organization founded in 2015 in response to the humanitarian crisis affecting children, women and men forced from their homes. With a fixed presence in Greece, and expansion to new locations in 2022, Movement On The Ground’s mission is to dignify refugee reception. We realize our mission by transforming refugee camps towards safe, healing and enabling environments. At the core of our mission is our Camp to campUs philosophy, outlining HOW we achieve change. By enabling and including refugees in everything that we do.

A little about the team

We are a bunch of like-minded, out-of-the-box thinking, hands-on entrepreneurs from all corners of the world, who are constantly challenging the status quo. We come served with a side of humility and we are always looking into ways to build bridges between all the stakeholders involved in the migration situation. We all have the same goal, to spread our vision of more dignified refugee reception across the globe. Nothing is impossible for us; this is how we act, how we think and how we work. Objectives of the role as coordinator

Responsible for programs, including:

➢ Schedules, communication and coaching community volunteers,

➢ Arranging and providing materials,

➢ Aligning activities with other MOTG members

➢ Representing MOTG towards other actors,

➢ Budget owner,

➢ Monitoring framework.
