Senior Project Associate At Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is searching for a Senior Project Associate to provide project management support in implementing GAIN’s activities under the Large- scale Food Fortification projects in India. This role is based in the GAIN India office.

Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. About the role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, GAIN India, the Senior Project Associate will provide project management support in implementing GAIN’s activities under the Large- scale Food Fortification projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the GAIN LSFF Project team in the overall management of the Fortification project with primary project management, reporting technical and financial documentation responsibilities for GAIN, donor and state government requirements
  • Responsible for overall monitoring and reporting of the program progress including monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal GAIN, donor and government requirements
  • Collaborate within the GAIN India team and the EAs to develop key government partnerships and facilitate key stakeholder alignment
  • Support with capacity building activities orienting the industry partners and regulators and supporting establishment of Quality Control and assurance processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for development of appropriate communication materials, technical documents, advocacy briefs, and related materials to drive key project activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of the funds and track budget utilization and proper financial reporting, with support from the Finance team in India and GAIN HQ.
  • Visit the field regularly to ensure that project progress is on track and risk mitigation plan is up-to-date.
  • Any other duties in line with job role as requested by the Senior Project Manager

About you

Candidates will have sound experience in project management, implementation and grantee oversight within international development / food industry experience preferably in a global, multicultural organization. You will have proven program delivery experience with government and private sector stakeholders and will be fluent in English and Hindi. You will possess strong problem solving, communication, leadership and advocacy skills and will have a willingness to travel extensively. This role is a local position and candidates will be willing to travel as and when required
