Aries Consult Ltd is an international consulting firm specializing in monitoring, evaluation, data collection and technical support for public policy formulation . With a growing presence in Portuguese-speaking African countries, Aries Consult seeks to expand its network of experts in São Tomé and Príncipe , with an emphasis on profiles with practical experience and direct connection with local communities.
We are creating a national database with a view to mobilizing short- and medium-term missions related to the evaluation of social programs, the analysis of public policies and the participatory implementation of field studies. Applications from women and young specialists are strongly encouraged.
📝 Job Description
Aries Consult seeks to integrate into its network of experts experienced professionals in the areas of social policy, administrative reform, local governance, monitoring and evaluation , who can contribute to strengthening institutional capacities in São Tomé and Príncipe. These experts will collaborate with public bodies, civil society and technical partners in carrying out strategic studies and evidence-based evaluations.

🛠 Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostic studies, policy reviews and institutional mapping;
- Develop collection instruments (guides, observation grids, forms);
- Coordinate interviews with decision-makers, technicians from public institutions and communities;
- Write technical reports, policy notes and evidence-based action plans;
- Support restitution activities, community validation and co-creation of solutions;
- Ensure compliance with ethical, methodological and participatory principles during all phases of the work.
✅ Requirements
- Degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Education, Public Health or related areas (Master’s degree is an advantage);
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in public policy, governance or evaluation;
- Ability to communicate clearly and write technically in Portuguese;
- Knowledge of the institutional, normative and cultural structure of São Tomé and Príncipe;
- Previous experience in projects funded by international partners will be valued;
- Availability to travel within the archipelago, including rural or difficult to access areas.
