PSP Global Analyst At UN High Commissioner for Refugees

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a full-time position within the Supporter Engagement Section in our global team at the Copenhagen office.

The PSP Global Analyst will be part of the Supporter Engagement Section reporting directly in the Chief of Section ad working closely with the Senior Global PSP Officers, Regional PSP Managers and Fundraising specialists and Analysts at a National level to assist them in ensuring strong performance analysis, and decision making backed by sound data and insights. A key component of the incumbent’s role will be to participate in periodic reviews of UNHCR Global Strategies on PSP and gradually building UNHCR fundraising insights capacity. The incumbent will also collaborate with the NGF Officer and NGF Committee to ensure strong analysis of UNHCR’s investments and return on that investment

Organizational context
The Supporter Engagement Section (SES) is headed by the Chief of Section, based in Copenhagen, who supervises four units which are split between Copenhagen and London. These include: 1. Digital Marketing, 2. Individual Giving, 3. Campaigns and 4. FinHub (eCommerce). The PSP Global Analyst is located in Copenhagen but will provide support for colleagues globally.

The position
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive team player and data analysis specialist with a strong interest and understanding of not-for-profit fundraising trends to complete for this TA within UNHCR’s Supporter Engagement Section.
The Supporter Engagement Section works to raise funds from individuals to support UNHCR’s work and to grow our ability to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people.
You will work closely with the Chief of Section and heads of units in the Supporter Engagement Section. Liaising with UNHCR’s wider internal fundraising networks, you will support the development of UNHCR’s data strategy and compliance across the organisation, and will play your part in achieving UNHCR’s strategic ambitions; contributing to the protection of people forced to flee.

Duties and responsibilities
• High quality fundraising analysis, reflected in reliable performance tracking.
• High quality identification of trends in country level, regional and global UNHCR fundraising, and identification of global trends in fundraising,
• High quality testing and analysis of new fundraising techniques and programs, and fundraising innovation.
• High quality delivery, dissemination and usage of analysis conducted, reflected in strong and factual decision making that reference analysis conducted.
• UNHCR relies on Fundraising Performance Analysis frameworks and has high quality fundraising analysis, reflected in reliable performance tracking and the identification of key issues/opportunities.
• Market and Fundraising trends at a Global, Regional and Country level internal to UNHCR as well as in comparison to other leading global organizations.
• Support to periodic reviews of UNHCR global strategies on PSP including the creation and management of relevant marketing intelligence tools.

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required

• University degree (BA) in Business/Marketing, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• 8 years of previous relevant work experience (6 years with advanced university degree).
• Proven experience in global and country fundraising analysis.
• Proven experience in supporting the assessment, review and implementation of Global Fundraising Strategies.
• Experience with monthly giving acquisition programs such as F2F, Digital and DRTV.
• Proven experience with comprehensive PSP reporting, benchmarking and performance evaluation based on return on investment, attrition rates and life-time value.
• Excellent knowledge of English (written/oral/comprehension). Demonstrate a genuine desire to learn and develop.
• Be highly organised and have good attention to detail.
• Be able to multi-task and to prioritise workload.
• Be a flexible, team-player.

Location
The successful candidate will be based with the team in Copenhagen, Denmark

Conditions
The position is for six months, and the start date is as soon as possible. It is a full-time role with working hours starting from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
