Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association founded in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: primarily in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, and even exclusion from healthcare.
As part of a replacement, we are looking for a part-time Psychologist to join our teams on the MSF France Ile de France Project.
Context :
MSF has three areas of activity in its Ile de France project:
- A day center for unaccompanied minor girls (UM): access to legal and social support, access to somatic and mental health care, referrals to common law, located in Pantin (93)
- An accommodation facility for boys and girls, with educational support, located in Montreuil
- A Mobile Clinic made up of a multidisciplinary (medico-social) team operating in the Ile de France region
Job objectives:
In a context of comprehensive care, as part of the mental health care pathway and consistent with their journey within the structure: provide psychological support to unaccompanied minors, but also to other beneficiaries of the project, in accordance with MSF principles, standards and procedures in order to improve their mental health.
Main responsibilities:
In accordance with MSF principles and protocols and with the support of:
Individual and group support:
- Identify and assess the psychological support needs of Unaccompanied Minors in Day Care and accommodation, as well as other accommodated beneficiaries.
- Propose and implement individual and/or collective support systems adapted to the identified issues (individual consultations and group activities) and consistent with the path and time taken to support young people by the project.
- Initiate and lead group activities (stress management techniques, etc.).
Orientations :
Refer young people, as needed, whether urgent or not, to common law structures and other mental health partners adapted to each individual:
- Young people with psychiatric disorders/emergencies;
- Provide psychotherapeutic support;
- Ensure follow-up of the guidelines.
Ensure the quality of interventions in the interest of beneficiaries:
- Inform your manager of any technical or operational questions or difficulties that may hinder psychological care or smooth operational functioning, with the aim of improving the mental health services provided to patients
- Promote a comprehensive approach to patient care: collaborate with the various project departments while respecting patient confidentiality;
- Participate in meetings with other project teams and multidisciplinary meetings.
Participate in the qualitative and quantitative monitoring of the activity and the project:
- Inform your manager of any questions or problems that may arise in connection with the treatment, in order to provide the best possible care for the patient.
- Report on your activity: writing monthly reports.
- Record the data necessary for patient monitoring in the MSF database, according to the established protocol.
- Participate in advocacy and communication activities.
How to apply
Education : Master 2 or DESS in Clinical Psychology. Trauma and Transcultural specialties preferred. Specialization in Clinical and Group Theory is a plus.
Experience :
- Minimum 2 years of experience with individual psychological/psychotherapeutic support
- Experience working with adolescents or young people with specific issues related to a complex migration journey (violence, control, trafficking, prostitution, etc.) required.
- Group setup and facilitation
- Experience within MSF or another NGO/association is a plus.

Languages: French. English is desirable. Portuguese or Lingala would be an asset.
Job specifics:
Status : A fixed-term contract (CDD) 6 months ( 18 hours half-time per week )
Conditions: Gross monthly salary for part-time work: €1,568.06. 22 days of RTT per year. Supplementary health insurance covered 100% by Médecins Sans Frontières. Meal vouchers with a face value of €12.00 (60% covered by MSF). 50% coverage of public transport tickets or equivalent.
