Introduction:
The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO) is a non-governmental and non-profit human rights organization dedicated to considering women’s rights as human rights. Since its foundation in 1970, AWO has adopted a vision to strongly support gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. AWO Vision: “Ending discrimination and violence against women in Jordan where gender equality, social justice, and inclusive democracy are valued as well as the participation of all, women and men, in development”. AWO Mission: “To contribute to AWO vision by generating and disseminating knowledge towards change in the social roles and the expectation of women and men related to education, politics, economics, and culture and mobilizing women for the values of citizenship and human rights and also contribute to promoting political reform towards parity in representation, women participation in the decision-making and maintaining communities’ wellbeing as well as peace and human security, de-radicalization, and respecting diversity. Job Purpose
The Master Trainer will lead the adaptation of training materials focusing on promoting gender-equitable partnerships between women and men in economic participation and strengthening community protection systems. The trainer will also build the capacity of facilitators, ensure high-quality training delivery, and oversee accurate documentation and reporting in line with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1.Training Materials Adaptation
Adapt and contextualize training materials to fit the local communities and ensure they promote joint participation of men and women in economic life and protection systems.
Ensure materials are gender-sensitive, participatory, and aligned with safeguarding principles.
2.Capacity Building & Training
Attend a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop.
Train and mentor facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to gender-transformative approaches.
3.Quality Assurance & Reporting
Monitor facilitators’ performance and provide technical guidance.
Review and validate training reports and attendance sheets.
4.Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with the Project Manager and team to align activities with project plans.
Participate in regular coordination and review meetings.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in gender equality, social empowerment, or GBV-related training.
Proven experience in adapting and contextualizing training materials.
Skills:
Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentorship skills.
Excellent reporting skills in English and Arabic.
Other:
Strong understanding of gender-transformative approaches and community protection systems.
Commitment to safeguarding and survivor-centered approaches.
