A major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross manages a network of more than 600 establishments and services in the health, medico-social and training sectors.
A member of the world’s largest humanitarian network, the French Red Cross employs more than 17,000 people who, across more than 70 professions, put their professionalism to work for the most vulnerable in medical-educational institutes, nurseries, retirement homes, functional rehabilitation centers, emergency accommodation centers, training centers, international missions, etc.
In addition to its achievements on French national territory, the French Red Cross, through its International Operations Directorate (DOI) , manages more than a hundred international emergency, post-emergency or post-crisis and development support projects, for an average financial volume of 85 million euros. Thus, the French Red Cross, within the framework of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, maintains relations with the other entities of the Movement: International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the 189 other National Societies (NS).
It has extensive cooperation with 26 of these National Societies, which it supports through the implementation of international solidarity projects to deal with specific or chronic crisis situations.
As such, it has a permanent presence in several international countries where it carries out operations with the relevant SN in the fields of emergency, post-emergency and development.
It intervenes in different ways depending on the scale and nature of humanitarian needs, the capacities of the National Society and local authorities, the positions of other actors in the Movement, the resources at its disposal, etc.

As part of an 18-month fixed-term contract , we are looking for a Quality Department Manager – SERA whose missions will be:
Lead the French Red Cross’s SERA quality approach for international action.
in this capacity you will have to:
Provide supervision, leadership and coordination of the Sera quality department.
Ensure the design, development and management of the SERA quality approach and responsible data management of the French Red Cross for its international actions.
Contribute to the development and capitalization of the French Red Cross’s SERA quality expertise internationally to contribute to strengthening and developing the quality of programs.
Ensure and coordinate the transfer of expertise and capacity building in quality and SERA programs with headquarters and field teams (delegations and national companies)
Ensure technical and regulatory monitoring and internal/external representation of the department internationally

With higher education, you have experience in SERA/MEAL functions and quality approach , in the field or at the headquarters of an international solidarity NGO.
You ideally have several years of experience in managing humanitarian programs in NGOs in recovery, development and emergency contexts.
You have mastered the project management cycle and emergency response tools.
You also have.
Knowledge of procedures specific to institutional donors and reference standards.
Experience in deploying an accountability mechanism with the establishment of a management mechanism and feedback to affected populations would be a plus.
Experience in multidisciplinary/multisectoral intervention (SAME, WASH, Health, Social, etc.) would be an asset.
You are able to easily transmit your skills and methodology, have excellent interpersonal skills and speak fluent English.
