Reporting Specialist, Colombia
ACDI/VOCA is seeking a Reporting Specialist for the Youth Resilience Activity (YRA) in Colombia funded by USAID.
The Reporting Specialist (RS) contributes to key program communications efforts that ensure awareness and support for ACDI/VOCA Colombia’s programs supporting reconciliation, youth development, and ethnic empowerment. The position is based in Colombia.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all aspects of the production process of internal and external programmatic reporting including work plans and quarterly, annual, and final reports for ACDI/VOCA’s primary funder, USAID
- Research and write program highlights and success stories in English for publication on internal and external ACDI/VOCA channels
- Translate memos, presentations, and other informational documents from Spanish to English (sometimes vice versa)
- Support efforts to systematize online information databases and streamline reporting processes
- Respond to urgent requests for information and deliverables, meeting deadlines and ensuring adherence to USAID’s requirements for reporting and writing style
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences, journalism, or communications
- At least four years of professional experience, preferably in the field of journalism, report writing, or translation
- Demonstrated experience in developing targeted reporting/communications tools and documenting program results for diverse cultural and social audiences, including donors, government officials, and other key stakeholders
- Experience working in developing countries, with experience in Colombia preferred
- Interest in contributing to Colombia’s socioeconomic transformation and development, particularly that of Afro-Colombian, indigenous, and youth populations
- Strong organizational skills and capacity for juggling multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Native-level English speaker with Spanish language fluency
