KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)
- Participate in the direct implementation of Oxfam FSL activities including community mobilisation, beneficiary registration and verification, cash or CFW, start-up capital agriculture inputs and livelihoods business support distribution process and monitoring
- Working with community members and representatives to facilitate the program implementation and proactively achieve solutions to problems arising.
- Carry out household interviews/survey, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, data collection as per plans. Data entry can be required
- Provides support to implement program activity plans in line with agreed standard procedures and Oxfam Code of Conduct.
- Working in a team and coordination with other FSL staff and with other department staff
- Supervision and follow up of beneficiaries to ensure data recording (attendance lists, meeting minutes, delivery notes, distribution lists, questionnaires, etc.).
- Support the process of resolving challenges with target communities and beneficiaries
- Work patterns are high pressure and require proper judgement about basic adjustment and urgent action on routine.
- Collect and make local information accessible and usable by project management and non-specialists.
- Support the process of coordination with Project Support Committees and community leaders to participate in decision making and support delivery process
- Support Agriculture and Livelihoods (Value chain and Agriculture) Officer, Field Assistants, and volunteers in engaging with communities through meetings and interviews.
- Drafting notes of field visits for review by programme team; preparing secondary data analysis and reports as required by the programme team.
Other duties may be reasonably required in supporting the delivery of team objectives and outcomes.

In addition:
- Relevant academic background in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Economics or Agriculture.
- Bachelor’s degree holder minimum of 2 years of experience or High secondary education 5 years of relevant experience in field of food security, livelihoods, or agriculture, etc or a related role within the non-profit sector (as Food Security Assistant, Livelihoods Assistant, Rural Development Assistant, Sustainable Agriculture Assistant, etc).
- 2 – 3 years demonstrated in market-based livelihood project activities
- Experience in data collection and reporting for food security and livelihood programs.
- Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian sector is essential.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and sustainable livelihoods in a humanitarian or development context.
- Familiarity with food security and livelihoods programming frameworks, standards, and methodologies.
- Ability to design and implement basic surveys, assessments, and monitoring activities in the field.
- Experience in establishing networks with key stakeholders, including government authorities, donors, and civil society and partner organizations.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, especially in cross-cultural environments.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and administrative tools.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 75% monthly basis or when required.
Desirable
- More than 3 years of experience in humanitarian or early recovery livelihoods programming
- Experience working in INGOs.
- Experience in designing, monitoring, and evaluating agricultural and livelihood projects.
- Ability to track expenditures, and ensure cost-efficient resource allocation.
