Manage and administer the PREDISAN platform as a harmonized food and nutrition security (FNS) information system, ensuring its continuous updating, data quality, and efficient operation. Based on this information, develop technical analyses that contribute to generating early warnings and timely decision-making in the face of potential emergencies or evolving situations. Likewise, support the consolidation of a network of internal and external stakeholders who use and integrate key information into the system, strengthening PREDISAN’s position as a leading technical tool for FNS information management.
The main activities you will perform are the following:
Main obligations and responsibilities
- Assist the Head of the Information Management Unit (IMU) and the Food Security and Livelihoods Coordinator (FSL) of the Central America mission in integrating Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) Managers into the PREDISAN system. Assist in the supervision/support of FSN technicians, under the direction of the FSN Coordinator.
- Support the head of the IGU unit in integrating PREDISAN information into the data management ecosystem and producing key analyses for various decision-makers.
- Serve as a point of contact for the PREDISAN platform’s SAN technicians. Actively contribute to PREDISAN’s food safety analysis and reporting as recommended by the FSL Coordinator or its representative.
- Review and summarize monthly SAN monitoring reports. Assist the FSL Coordinator in providing quality control for deliverables (project reports, monitoring reports, specific thematic reports based on PREDISAN information, among others) and help ensure that activities and products are delivered in a timely manner.
- Provide SAN technicians with optimal technical guidance to help them generate the required data/information/reports.
- Attend FSL-focused meetings, trainings, and/or proposals when necessary

Training:
- University graduate in systems engineering or agricultural economics, agronomy, nutrition, climatology, anthropology, or social geography with solid knowledge and experience in programming and database management and artificial intelligence.
Specific knowledge:
- Experience in data management and/or food safety analysis
- Excellent computer skills.
- Experience in coordination and collaboration in work teams.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience:
- 3 years of relevant experience in the country or region in information systems, food security analysis, and related fields. Proficiency in GIS applications and cartographic skills.
Knowledge of the humanitarian sector:
- Experience in the cooperation sector, humanitarian or development NGOs, is valued.
Languages:
- Spanish
- Desirable: intermediate or advanced level of English, written and oral
Office automation and specific systems:
- Mastery of office tools (Office); advanced Excel skills are essential. Knowledge of ICT tools.
- Use of databases
Mobility (national/international):
- Availability for geographic mobility (travel to work areas, occasional support).
