Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association founded in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: primarily in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, or even exclusion from healthcare.
We are actively seeking Finance and/or Human Resources Coordinators for our international pool.
Your mission
As a Finance and/or HR Coordinator , you are a key member of the country coordination team. You manage the mission’s financial strategy and/or HR policy, closely linked to operational objectives. Your role is essential to ensure responsible, transparent, and efficient management of financial and/or human resources.
Your main responsibilities
As Finance Coordinator:
- Define the financial strategy of the mission with the Head of Mission, assess the risks and the means of mitigating them.
- Establish a suitable organization and a reliable internal control system to meet all financial obligations while ensuring that financial ethics are consistently respected within the mission.
- Be responsible for good budget management, accounting transparency and the financial security of your mission.
- Support other coordinators in respecting MSF procedures and monitoring their activities.
- Be in charge of training, supporting and monitoring your local team as well as administrators based in the different areas of your mission.
As HR Coordinator:
- Define, adapt, plan and implement the mission’s HR policy.
- Ensure the match between HR needs and operational objectives.
- Supervise the qualitative and administrative management of staff (national and international).
- Ensure compliance with the local legal framework and MSF HR policies.
- Support field HR teams and build professional development dynamics.
Profile sought:
Experience :
- Minimum 2 years as a financial and/or HR coordinator in an international NGO 12 months in a coordination position .
SKILLS :
- Proficiency in general accounting, budgeting, cash management and local labor law.
- Excellent analytical, planning, adaptive and multicultural teamwork skills.
- Good command of Word and Excel
- Adherence to MSF’s behavioral commitments is required, including respect, inclusion, non-discrimination, and protection from abuse.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and demonstrate commitment and support for diversity, inclusive and non-discriminatory behaviors and attitudes
LANGUAGES :
- French and English (C1)
- Additional languages appreciated: Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese .
- Availability : 12 month commitment
What we offer
- 12-month fixed-term contract , full-time.
- Gross monthly salary between €2,825 and €3,358 depending on experience.
