Know our team

Nutrition International’s Corporate Services (CS) unit is a dedicated team of Finance and Administrative experts with extensive global experience. The unit leads on providing global Accounting, Finance, Budget, and Compliance, Contracting and Procurement, Facilities management, and Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT). Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Senior Pay and Benefits Officer to be based in Ottawa, Canada.

About you

You are someone with completion of a payroll designation or enrollment in the CPA program. College Diploma in accounting, finance, or business. You have a minimum of four experience in a payroll capacity. You are experienced in benefits administration and have sound technical and professional knowledge of payroll legislation.

Fluency in English is required. French will be considered an asset.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll for HQ employees via Ceridian Powerpay Plus
  • Prepare monthly US payroll via Ceridian Freedom Discovery
  • Prepare and process payroll journal entries to accounting systems (MS Dynamics GP)
  • In coordination with Human Resources, responsible to administer all aspects of the employee benefits program including health and dental benefits, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, benefit renewals, as well as wellness programs
  • Support Pension and RRSP plans and ensure accurate recording of transactions
  • Ensure all payroll related balance sheet accounts and reconciliations are complete and up to date
