Context :
Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh), founded in 1960, is Switzerland’s largest children’s rights organization. Tdh is dedicated to bringing about meaningful and lasting change in the lives of children and young people, particularly those most at risk. Tdh is active in some thirty countries, in both humanitarian and development contexts.
In sub-Saharan Africa, Tdh operates directly in 8 countries (Burkina Faso, Burundi, Guinea-Conakry, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria and Senegal) and through partnerships in 6 other countries (Benin, Cameroon, Madagascar, Niger, Togo and Uganda).
As part of the decentralization of its organizational model, Tdh is opening a regional office in Dakar, Senegal, for which a position of Regional Fundraising/Project Writing Advisor has been created.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensures the link between the Institutional Fundraising Department at headquarters, the region and country offices to develop and implement a coherent fundraising strategy adapted to the realities on the ground, while ensuring smooth communication and supporting capacity building of country teams.
- Tracks, analyzes and reports regional donor trends and regional fundraising and contract management results including key performance indicators.
- Promotes and implements global frameworks, standards, processes and tools relating to fundraising, project writing and funding management at the regional level.
- Helps influence donors at the regional level and supports teams in preparing for country-level negotiations.
- Develops relationships with existing donors and partners and engages in relationships with new donors and partners at the regional level.
- Encourages regional coordination and coherence of exchanges between countries and relations with donors and partners.
- Ensures the search for institutional funds at the regional level and supports it at the country level and contributes to the search for private funds at the regional level.
- Ensures financial planning and management of the region from a revenue perspective and supports countries in this area.
- Participates in the preparation of funding requests and donor reports, ensuring their compliance and quality, at the regional level and, depending on the issues, at the country level.

Profile :
Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field, including international relations, political science, public administration, project management and communication.
Experience / Skills:
At least five years of experience in developing funding proposals and acquiring resources for international cooperation is required.
- Financial and budgetary management skills, supported by a good understanding of human resource management and project management principles.
- Ability to support and advise on organizational and operational transformation.
- Good ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reliability and autonomy, with an ability to organize, make decisions and manage conflict at a basic level.
- In-depth knowledge of the specific rules and constraints of donors in terms of logistics/purchasing.
- Experience in development and humanitarian contexts.
- Developed spirit of collaboration, including remotely, and teamwork in a multicultural environment.

LANGUAGES :
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
IT knowledge:
