The Opportunity ( National Position for Sudanese Only)
The holder of this position, is expected work on increasing humanitarian access networks in areas controlled by armed groups in Darfur Region by maintaining improved networking and efficient methods of contacts to ensure that Save the Children Office is able to reach populations affected by crisis, as well as an affected populations are able to access humanitarian assistance and services.
Essential
- Track record of training, managing and developing staff in safety principles and procedures;
- Having technical competency and training experience in field-based communications systems such as HF Codan, Motorola VHF radios, Thuraya, satellite and internet systems;
- Experience of incident reporting and mapping, intelligence collation and analysis functions, the establishment and execution of an incident warning systems, and the compilation of situational and context risk assessments reports;
- Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities;
Desirable
- A formal safety or security Qualification or management training
- Experience in safety provision in emergency response;
Contract duration: 1 year
