Here’s where you come in:

As Regional Humanitarian Emergency Affairs Advisor, you will strengthen disaster management capacity across the region. You will lead initiatives that emphasize disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and preparedness strategies. You will also enhance response capabilities for natural, man-made, and complex humanitarian emergencies, ensuring that communities and stakeholders are better equipped to manage risks and respond effectively.

Requirements include:

  • At least 5 years working experience in Disaster Management, including Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Preparedness, Anticipatory Action, Relief and Humanitarian works.
  • Practical understanding of minimum standards in SPHERE, Red Cross Code of Conduct, People in Aid, Child Rights
  • Proven track records in securing funding, preferably on humanitarian and disaster risk management.
  • Master’s degree qualifications and/or professional qualification in Humanitarian, Disaster Management, Climate and Environment, or relevant field
  • Field-level experience in disaster responses and disaster preparedness programmes in Asia Pacific context
  • Travel Requirement: 30% international travel
  • Language Requirement: English
