- About the YDR Consortium
The Yemen Displacement Response (YDR) Consortium is a partnership created in 2019 to provide a coordinated and effective multi-sectoral humanitarian response to the needs of displacement-affected populations across Yemen. The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) serves as the lead agency for the YDR Consortium, which also includes the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Acted as key implementing partners, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a non-funded EU partner.
The core mission of the YDR Consortium is to improve the living conditions and support durable solutions for the most vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host community members in Yemen. The Consortium currently operates across 10 governorates – Abyan, Aden, Al Dhale’e, Amran, Hajjah, Hudaydah, Lahj, Marib, Sana’a, and Taiz – with integrated assistance in the key thematic areas of Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), Shelter/NFIs, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Protection, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response.
The YDR Consortium’s work is made possible through the generous support of the European Union, specifically DG ECHO. All activities are implemented in close coordination with relevant humanitarian stakeholders and strict adherence to donor requirements to ensure the highest standards of accountability and impact.
