As the Response Programme Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams, including grant acquisition and management (GAM), MEAL, information management, and partnering. The role seeks a senior leader capable of positioning World Vision strongly and sustainably within the humanitarian response, and with key UN, government, and donors.
You will also be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the Response Strategy, ensuring alignment with donor priorities and technical standards. The position ensures grant compliance, promotes evidence-based project design, and establishes robust knowledge management systems for learning and reporting. Additionally, you will drive high-quality monitoring, evaluation, and accountability processes to inform continuous improvement across the response.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of 5 years in leadership role in the humanitarian assistance and/or development sector, with a significant portion of this in INGOs.
- 8 years’ experience in humanitarian assistance work including significant field presence
- Projects with proven record in of winning grants.
- Deep understanding of humanitarian work, especially humanitarian resource development and donor strategies, concepts, approaches and processes.
- Experience in program management and implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
- Strong background in programme quality – MEAL – and information management.
- Strong experience in working with bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, grant management and proposal development.
- Master’s degree in humanitarian, community development, development management, international development, sociology or other related fields.
- Thorough understanding of development principles.
- Good understanding of SPHERE, WV and other international relief standards.
