About: Action Against Hunger
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has been its foundation for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around seven areas of activity: Nutrition and Health—Mental Health, Psychosocial Support—Food Security and Livelihoods—Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene—Advocacy—Climate—Research. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Operational Communication Unit Manager, your mission will be to promote the awareness, visibility and duty of witness of Action Against Hunger as a humanitarian actor in the field.
More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:
Contribute to the strategic thinking of the Operational Communication Unit to meet Action Against Hunger’s duty of witness
Acquire regional expertise and in-depth knowledge of Action Against Hunger’s activities in connection with country office operations and advocacy
Implement communication projects relating to the news of Action Against Hunger country offices
Capitalize on and disseminate operational information internally
Contribute to the management of crisis communication when it concerns a country of intervention
You will ensure the functional management of the Communication/Advocacy Officers or focal points in the country offices, depending on the countries monitored.

Profile :
You have a background in communications, journalism, political science, or international relations, and 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Field experience in an NGO would be a plus.
You have knowledge of media and how to collect testimonials.
You must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Conditions of employment
Status: Integrated Executive – Full-time
fixed-term contract replacing maternity leave from 10/23/2025 to 02/16/2026 and fixed-term contract replacing maternity leave from 11/26/2025 to 03/22/2026
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Remuneration: From 37K to 44K euros gross per year over 13 months depending on experience
Benefits: 25 days per year of paid leave and 21 days of RTT
Health and welfare coverage: 80% covered by ACF

Transport allowances: 50% covered by the package between home and the workplace

No mandatory presence for this position, outside of collective face-to-face times.
Collective face-to-face times imposed / also mandatory by the employer: for meetings and collective events (up to 3 days per month) and 2 days of mandatory presence when you join the team
