Logistics Assistant – Damascus At IYD International Humanitarian Relief Association

Job Purpose

Executing and supervising the tasks and procedures of the logistic department to ensure the provision of all necessary materials and supplies in the required time and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work within the logistics team and carry out all assigned tasks.

2. Providing support in preparing maintenance plans and following up their implementation for everything related to the office and paying bills and proceeds from IYD offices (electricity-rent-water-internet….)

3. Preparing weekly, monthly and annual reports on all the work of the logistic department and sharing them with the direct manager.

4. Visit offices and warehouses at least once a month and check the physical condition and safety of warehouses and offices.

5. Ensure that all documents related to the logistic department are present and that they are properly archived.

6. Studying the market on an ongoing basis in order to know and identify solutions, requirements and challenges on an ongoing basis

7. In coordination with the program and warehouse team, monitor distributions to beneficiaries and provide the necessary support

8. Support in receiving materials from suppliers

9. Providing support in the operations of fleet management and vehicle movement

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

  1. Essential:
    • Degree Bachelor in business administration-Logistics or any relevant field
