Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association founded in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: primarily in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, or even exclusion from healthcare.

Mission
The oncologist provides specific or palliative medical care to cancer patients. He or she contributes to the quality of care in compliance with MSF protocols and guidelines. He or she participates in discussions on the development of oncology projects.
Main responsibilities
Clinical
- Provides daily consultations and room visits
- Ensures proper coordination of care in the department and in outpatient settings.
- Ensures that team doctors administer prescriptions according to MSF protocols and guidelines.
- Ensures that patient records are complete and that medical recommendations are clearly communicated to nursing staff.
- Ensures the quality and safety of care
Data collection
- Ensures the collection of quantitative medical data.
- Participates in the drafting and analysis of morbidity-mortality reports with the referring physician and/or the hospital director or the project coordinator.
Collaboration with other services
- Participates in medical meetings and multidisciplinary consultation meetings
- Works in close collaboration with all departments involved in patient care: imaging, anatomopathology, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy.
- Ensures proper coordination of care in hospital, outpatient and at home
Supervision/training
- He/she provides supervision and ensures the ongoing training of the team based on MSF guidelines and protocols and data from the literature.
In all areas of his/her activity, he/she ensures that medical confidentiality is respected.
He/she exercises vigilance and informs his/her manager in the event of medical error.
Profile sought
Formation :
- Medical degree from a recognized university
- Specialization in Oncology
Experience :
- Significant experience in oncology (more than two years in an oncology department or a department treating mainly cancer patients)
- Good clinical skills
- Strong interest in supervision, training and skills transfer.
SKILLS :
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, internet)

Languages : French required
Status and conditions : Fixed-term contract of at least 6 months, field position. Salary according to the MSF salary scale.
