Objective of the consultant/group of consultants:
The incubation course aims to support beneficiary CSOs in the deployment of a project to hybridise the economic resources of their association, through the creation of a commercial activity. Empow’Her will focus its training on the steps of the entrepreneurial approach to adopt to build such a project.
Empow’Her therefore calls on a consultant or group of consultants specialised in economic models of companies with social impact to provide practical training on the implementation of a hybrid economic model based on the creation by an association of a financing-generating activity. The consultant or group of consultants will focus the training on the legal and tax framework existing in Bangladesh: that is to say the legal and tax consequences of integrating a commercial activity within a non-profit association.
Empow’Her is therefore looking for experts to provide training on the legal aspects of implementing a lucrative project for a non-profit organisation (laws, taxes, etc.), specific to the country of application.
The experts will be in charge of providing training on the legal framework of Bangladesh for 5 associations (1-3 participants per CSO maximum) during a single 2-hour session.
The mission of the consultant or group of consultants will be to prepare training to be delivered by videoconference on the legal and fiscal framework of hybrid economic models.
During the online training, the expert’s mission will be to offer training based on the real needs of associations and the legal framework in force. The expert must be able to explain the different regulations in the country and provide answers to specific questions from CSOs. Following the training, the expert will provide a deliverable including the salient points of the training and detailing key elements (to be determined with Empow’Her). This deliverable can be published on the training channels of the FON project, and in particular the e-learning platform https://fon.empow-her.com/.
Training content
- Legal and tax consequences of the creation of the hybridisation of an association’s income through the creation of a commercial activity;
- Legal structuring of the organisation’s activities: possibilities in terms of legal portability of activities and advantages, risks and disadvantages of different portage options;
- Recommendations for good practices for the creation of new legal entities: timetable, support to seek, costs, pitfalls to avoid, etc.
Operation of the mission
As soon as the partnership starts, Empow’Her will organise a kick-off meeting with the experts in Asia in order to harmonise the understanding of the mission and hold a question/answer session. Following this, Empow’Her will provide the trainer with a framework document describing the financing-generating activities of associations as well as their general needs in legal and fiscal support.
Expected deliverables
Two (2) hour online training.
A training support (e.g.: a slideshow) used during the online session and including the main information.
Empow’Her wishes to reuse the training material in other programs and courses, and more particularly upload it to its online learning platform https://fon.empow-her.com/ to make it accessible to other CSOs.
Duration, location and terms
- Duration: a two (2) hour training session whose terms are at the discretion of the expert (e.g.: 1 hour of content/1 hour of questions and answers; 2 hours of questions and answers);
- Location: online, by videoconference. Empow’Her can help with technical preparation if necessary
- Date: the date will be determined between Empow’Her, the trainer and the CSOs;
