CCCM Field Supervisor-Incentive Labour At Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development

Context of the position and key challenges

Job Purpose

The Field Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the CFM/IM unit supporting Him/Her in daily management related operations.

He/She is responsible for assisting the CFM/IM Officer to conduct demographic /vulnerability assessments site of intervention. In addition, the Data Entry conducting information management activities and data collection.

Key roles and responsibilities

1.Supervising demographic and vulnerability assessments.

-Coordinate with the CCCM Site assistant on how to carry out the assessments (including, but not limited to: Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, baseline and end line surveys, as well as other types of assessments and data collection that is required)

-Check that material necessary to carry out the assessment is sufficient and appropriate.

-Ask questions in a clear and kind manner, and ask all the questions exactly as worded:

-Probe to clarify unclear answers.

-Write down the observations and answers in an ordinate and clear way, recording responses accurately.

-Record and forward all complaints and suggestions received while in the field to the IM & CFM Officer.

2.Conduct regular demographic verification.

-Including but not limited to weekly random tent to tent verification, verification for any type of support provided to a segment of the camp population, verification of the Pregnant/Lactating women status.

3.Spread key messages defined by IM & CFM unit to the camp population

-Including but not limited to messages: on the existence roles/responsibilities of the IM &CFM unit, on the importance of any change in their household composition to be flagged directly to IM & CFM unit either by raising it to the CCCM Monitors, either by raising it at the IM & CFM unit caravan.

4.Reporting

-Report monitoring findings and any other findings and observation emerged during data collection activities frequently to the CCCM IM & CFM Officer so to communicate the progress of assessment activities.

-Recognize and give account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from field research activities.

-Cross-check the accuracy of data entry.

-Reporting directly to Assessment Manager/Officers whenever requested.

  1. Oversee demographic and vulnerability assessments.
  • Coordinate with the CCCM Site Assistant on how to implement assessments (including but not limited to: Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, baseline and end-of-project surveys, as well as other types of assessments and data collection as needed).
  • Ensure that the materials needed to conduct the assessment are sufficient and appropriate.
  • Ask questions in a clear and friendly manner, and ask all questions exactly as they are worded.
  • Inquiry to clarify unclear answers.
  • Write notes and answers in an organized and clear manner, recording responses accurately.
  • Record all complaints and suggestions received during field work and forward them to the Information Management and Community Protection (IM & CFM) Unit Officer.2. Conduct regular demographic verification.
  • Including, but not limited to, weekly tent-to-tent random checks, checking any type of support provided to a category of the camp population, and checking the condition of pregnant and lactating women.
  • 3. Disseminate key messages identified by the Information Management and Community Protection (IM&CFM) Unit to camp residents.
  • Including, but not limited to, messages regarding the roles and responsibilities of the IM & CFM unit, and the importance of reporting any change in household composition directly to the IM & CFM unit, either by raising it to the CCCM monitors or raising it in the IM & CFM unit caravan.4. Reports
  • Report frequently to the CCCM IM & CFM Officer on monitoring results and any other observations or findings arising during data collection activities, to communicate the progress of evaluation activities.
  • Identify problems with data acquisition and provide useful feedback from field research activities.
  • Verify the accuracy of data entry.
  • Report directly to the Evaluation Manager(s) upon request.

Key Requirements

  • Female candidate Only
  • At least institute degree.
  • Experience of at least 6 months in data collection in humanitarian context
  • Proficiency in the use of data collection tools (e.g. KOBO)
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
  • Reside in Raqqa city.

Required qualifications and technical expertise

Qualifications:

  • Experience in working in-camp settings.
  • Good experience in data entry and MS Office Excel.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to details
