BINAA is looking for a Controller based in Damascus/Syria.

Job Purpose :

•Support in preparing and tracking Controller documents to ensure full compliance with BINAA policies and procedure within donors and partners regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES **:

•Develop and implement appropriate control methods for all activities that have an impact on financial, organizational and project performance.
• Perform project-based budgeting processes and report variances that will enable effective decision-making.
• Gather insights and findings in terms of income recognition and progress validation in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Implement effective controlling methodologies, processes, policies, and procedures that will enable Binaa in achieving its goals through insightful analysis, operational efficiency, and organizational alignment.
• Ensure quality control of financial transactions and financial reports.
• Coordinate with other functions in terms of controlling.
• Periodically review budgeting and reporting processes Oversee cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
• Determine the method of capturing, tracking, and monitoring operational variances that are needed to track performance.
Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Required Qualifications :

Essential:
• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or commerce.
• A minimum of one-year experience in a similar position.
• Intermediate skills in the English language.

• Strong analytical skills
• Attention to details.
• Ability to prioritize work issues to meet deadlines with minimal supervision and adjust to constantly changing.
