Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has defined its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Country Director, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the implementation of the advocacy strategy for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC);
Conducting research activities in the DRC and supporting global advocacy on hunger and conflict;
Acting as a policy focal point and providing direct support to the Country Office;
Ensuring external representation in coordination forums and advocacy working groups to integrate Action Against Hunger’s positions.
You will directly manage 1 Advocacy Manager working 50/50 with the Forum of International Non-Governmental Organizations (FONGI).

Profile :
You hold a Master’s degree in social sciences, international relations, international humanitarian law, politics, development studies, or a related field.
You have solid and proven expertise (3 years) in humanitarian advocacy (project cycle, advocacy tools, etc.) and/or representation, negotiation, and influencing aid policies at a high level, as well as in managing complex communication campaigns and working collaboratively with advocacy departments.
You have a proven track record of successfully managing teams in diverse cultural contexts.
Your open-mindedness, critical thinking, and flexibility enable you to grasp a wide range of complex issues and synthesize them strategically.
You communicate effectively in both French and English, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in Swahili or Lingala is an asset.
Employment conditions
Fixed-term contract under French law: 3 months.
Gross monthly salary: €2,597 to €2,968 depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract.
Monthly per diem and living expenses: $1,032 net, paid on-site.
Monthly context allowance: €300.
Child allowance: €1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (capped at €6,000/year).
Transportation and accommodation: Travel and shared accommodation provided.
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, your medical expenses (as well as those of your dependents if a family position is in place) for up to 1 month after the end of your contract.
Salary maintenance provisions (illness, maternity, paternity).
Leave and RnR: 25 days of paid leave per year and 20 RnR days per year; travel expenses covered up to a certain limit to reach the chosen break zone, and a flat-rate allowance of €215 per RnR.

unlimited and free access to the Talentsoft e-learning platform.
Field travel: ACF intervention zones – Mai-Ndombe, Ituri, North Kivu, Kasai
