Job Purpose:
The Monitoring Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes within the organisation, thereby contributing to evidence-based decision-making, program improvement, and organisational accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of construction operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site evaluations to assess progress and the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Ensure that all M&E tasks are completed on time and within budget, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on M&E activities and findings.
- Managing data collection processes for needs assessment (individual interviews)
- Supervising the process of registering beneficiaries and verifying the validity of the information provided
- Uploading the names of the beneficiaries on the data collection platforms
- Conducting satisfaction surveys and feedback for beneficiaries
- Conduct distribution monitoring and post-distribution monitoring.
- Collecting means of verification of the implementation of activities, archiving them, and submitting them to the monitoring and evaluation officer in the office
- Submit daily and weekly work progress reports.
- Submitting monthly reports and the end-of-project report
- Follow up on the complaints system and ensure that all beneficiaries are aware of the complaints system and can provide feedback (complaints notes).
- Receiving and collecting complaints and submitting them to the complaints and feedback officer
- Red flag reporting
- The direct manager represents any other tasks related to the project.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and adhere to administrative orders and disciplinary procedures in the event of any violations.
Undertaking to adhere to the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the WATAN Foundation in cases of sexual exploitation and abuse, and to report directly in the event of any violation in this regard
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Languages Arabic-English is preferable
- English is preferable
- Travel Availability
- Minimum 2 years of professional and proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
- At least two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- High level of experience in using computers and Microsoft Office programs (Word – Excel)
- The ability to use Excel professionally and conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Experience in designing questionnaires, data collection tools, and conducting surveys and interviews
- Accuracy of observation and attention to detail good communication skills and the ability to gain confidence
- Ability to speak and write well in English and Arabic
- Ability to prepare high-quality reports in Arabic or English
