Mission :

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director – Programs, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the mission’s nutrition surveillance strategy in the DRC, coordinating and providing technical support for the implementation and monitoring of quality nutrition assessments (including SMART, SMART Rapid, SQUEAC, and other assessments as needed), and ensuring the analysis of nutrition data and the strengthening of local capacities (PRONANUT, SNSAP, and local partners).
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing ACF’s nutrition surveillance strategy in coordination with the Nutrition and Health Department;
Planning and conducting SMART-SMART Rapid surveys or other nutrition assessments in partnership with nutrition/health partners and PRONANUT;
Strengthening PRONANUT’s surveillance expertise
; Contributing to the revitalization of SNSAP;
Managing the surveillance program team; Directly managing 3 SMART Program Managers
; Indirectly managing 4 Mentors and 3 Supervisors.

Profile :

You have a medical, paramedical, or similar qualification, with at least 5 years of professional experience in NGOs in the nutrition and/or health sector, including 2 years in nutrition surveillance (SMART, SQUEAC, KAP, other assessments, etc.) and MEAL, with an international NGO.
You are proficient in EPI and ENA software for SMART and other relevant IT software.
A good understanding of project management and the project cycle, as well as the mechanisms of Nutrition Clusters, is essential, as you will be working closely with the government and partners.
You have strong management and workshop facilitation skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills in French.
You have a good understanding of donor requirements and the humanitarian context in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Employment conditions

Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees travelling to this country.
Fixed-term contract under French law: 4 months until 31/03/2026.
Gross monthly salary: from €2,597 to €2,968 depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract.
Monthly per diem and living expenses: $1,032 net, paid on-site.
Monthly context allowance: €300.
Child allowance: €1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (capped at €6,000/year).
Transportation and accommodation: Travel and shared accommodation provided.
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, and your medical expenses for up to 1 month after the end of your contract.
Salary maintenance provisions (illness, maternity, paternity).
Leave and RnR: 25 days of paid leave per year and 20 RnR days per year; airfare covered up to a certain limit to reach the chosen break zone, and a flat-rate allowance of €215 per RnR.

Field travel: In all provinces where the mission operates: North Kivu, Ituri, South Kivu, Maniema, Mai-Ndo
