SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and natural disasters by addressing their vital needs: water, food, and shelter. As part of its efforts to strengthen its operations, SI has established a Mobile Operations Support Staff (OSS). OSS team members are expected to be deployed on missions lasting from two weeks to three months to SI country offices, according to the following priorities:
- Address strategic gaps and provide technical support to existing national offices (1 to 3 months)
- Supporting assessments and the opening of new operations (base and programs) in existing country offices (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
- Evaluations and opening of new country offices (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
As headquarters delegates, OSS team members represent headquarters during their deployment and play a key role in the execution of the mandate and procedures of IS within the scope of the missions entrusted to them.
The OSSs respond to the support needs of country offices through the geographic offices (DESKs) of Information Systems. The deployment of the Logistics Coordinator OSS is under the hierarchical supervision of the Logistics and Information Systems Directorate. Once deployed, he/she works under the responsibility of the country director or the corresponding regional director.

OSS Logistics Coordinator – International Solidarity
Context
Within the Logistics and Information Systems Department of Solidarités International , the Logistics Coordinator reports to the Logistics and General Services Manager . They are the country office’s logistics contact and the liaison between headquarters and the field office for all logistical matters.
Job objective
The OSS Logistics Coordinator defines and implements the country office’s logistics and supply strategy to ensure the smooth running of humanitarian projects. They support the Country Director and coordinators in translating programmatic needs into effective logistics solutions that comply with internal policies and procedures.
Main responsibilities
Internal coordination and project management
- Define and implement the mission’s logistics and supply strategy
- Ensure the operational monitoring of logistics and purchasing activities
- Plan the annual activity (budgets, action plans, priorities)
- Optimize logistical resources (pooling of resources)
- Prepare and validate the logistical elements of donor reports
Coordination externe
- Representing the organization within logistics coordination spaces (clusters, networks)
- Participate, upon request, in security and humanitarian access meetings
- Advocating for logistical constraints among humanitarian actors
Supply chain
- Define the purchasing strategy in close collaboration with the program teams
- Coordinate market analysis at the national, regional and local levels
- Ensure compliance with purchasing, storage, transport and inventory procedures
Technical equipment and transport
- Define the people transport strategy adapted to the security context
- Managing the use and operation of the vehicle fleet
- Define and implement a strategy for managing technical equipment (vehicles, energy, telecoms, IT)
Infrastructures
- Ensuring compliance and management of real estate leases
- Ensure the installation and maintenance of functional offices and living quarters.
Security
- Define, with the Country Management and the Security Coordinator, the strategy for using security-related equipment
- Ensure that teams are trained in technical security measures
- Ensuring the operational effectiveness of incident management logistics systems
Your profile
Formation
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) to Master’s degree (BAC+5) in humanitarian logistics
Experience
- 3-4 years as a logistics coordinator in the humanitarian sector
Skills and qualities
- Good experience in programming emergency activities
- Experience in supporting the opening of bases and the implementation of challenging programmatic activities
- Experience in capacity building for a logistics team
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Adaptability
- Strong initiative and ability to improvise
- Fluency in French and English (very good reading, writing and speaking skills). Proficiency in other languages (especially Arabic and Spanish) is an asset.
SI will offer you the following conditions
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy metro station) with field visits
- Permanent contract
- Gross monthly salary of: €2365 according to the salary scale in effect at headquarters
- Health insurance (80%), meal vouchers (60%), and travel passes (50%) are covered by the association.
- OSS/ERT: Health/life insurance and repatriation: CFE: 50% covered by the social security system and 50% by the employee; MSH Mutual Insurance: 100% covered by
- Remote work options: 4 or 12 days of remote work per month, or 100% remote work with 3 mandatory days of in-office work per month. Subject to the current remote work policy and the manager’s approval.
- Leave: 2.0833 days of paid leave per month and 1 day of RTT (reduced working time) per full month of work – OSS (non-salaried employee) does not have RTT.
- Recovery days and 100% medical coverage during field trips
